Love Bite #15: Poem-Love Is by Nikki Giovanni

Morning, today I want to share a love poem that made me smile deep down inside and remind me of me & my love!

Love Bite #15: Poem-Love Is by Nikki Giovanni

Love Is
Some people forget that love is
tucking you in and kissing you "Good night"
no matter how young or old you are

Some people don't remember that love is
listening and laughing and asking questions
no matter what your age

Few recognize that love is
commitment    responsibility   no fun at all
unless

Love is
You and me

Love Bite #14: Valentine's Day Recap!! :-)

Hello! Today I want to share with you all what my love and I did for Valentine's Day! During the Valentine's Love Bite's I shared a 3 Course Dinner Recipe and well, I put it into action for my love!

Love Bite #14: Valentine's Day Recap!! :-)

Being that I am a college student and love my bf very much I wanted to show him by cooking a beautiful dinner! I started by shopping for the food. Now I gave you all a price list of $30.00 for the dinner, but I actually paid $22.00!! <$8.00 savings>

My greatest saving was the two Filet Steaks 1 1/2 inches thick for $3.21 from Shoprite!! I marinated the steak in Red Wine for 4 hours, along with a garlic & basil mix, adobo, and then right before I cooked it I patted it down with the salt & pepper like the recipe instructed. ((It only took 10 minutes to cook!)) And Oh My it came out AMAZiNG!!!! My love, LOVED IT!! :-)

The finished product: Filet Mignon w/ Creamy mashed potatoes & sauteed mixed Vegetables. Cooking this meal also opened my eyes to how good "Dill" is in veggies!! Absolutely yummy! :-) We also enjoyed a Ceaser salad with extra cucumbers!!

So during the week I also blogged about 'creating the mood'! So to create the mood, with the tools I had this is what I came up with! A romantic table setting for two, college-dorm style.

He absolutely loved my little set up!! And I was so thrilled..lol. We enjoyed a tasty meal, great conversation and a very good episode of Law & Order:SVU!!  :-D

Valentine's Day couldn't have been sweeter! So how did you spend your Valentine's Day??

Love Bite #13: Enjoy!

 Love Bite #13: Enjoy!

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am so excited because it is about two people and both are able to share how they feel about the other.

If you are single, you can enjoy Valentine's Day too! Go out with the girls that may not have plans either and enjoy a nice dinner together. Buy yourself something that makes you feel great about yourself.

Whether you are married, dating, or single you can enjoy Valentine's Day!

With LOVE,

Love Bite #12: Cards!

Valentine's Day is a great time to tell your significant other just how much you truly care about them. One way to do that is through a card.

Love Bite #12: Cards!

As you know, I love LOVE. One thing that I enjoy doing is going into Hallmark and reading their Valentine's Day cards. They make me think about my love and because there are so many to choose from I always buy two. A funny card and a serious-romantic card.
Cards are great because they are a great way to express how you feel about the other person. My love has gotten me into blank cards because it is truly your feelings on paper. {My love writes the best cards ever too. :-)} So if you really want to show him or her how you feel, start it off with a great card!!

And it is okay to spend a while in the store trying to pick out the perfect card.

Love Bite #7: Romance!

 What Is Romance?

Thanks to wikipedia this is what we have:
Romance is the pleasurable feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love, romance usually implies an expression of one's love, or one's deep emotional desires to connect with another person.

A few ways to Express your "Romantic Side"!:
Romance can be expressed by either person within the relationship.
*A candle-lit dinner for two.
*Waking up to breakfast in bed.
*A weekend getaway to a nice resort.
*A homemade dinner & dessert after the kids have been put to bed.

There are so many endless and creative ways a couple can be romantic with each other. It can be big or small, but most importantly it should be sentimental towards your significant other.

Love Bite #6: Wedding Scriptures!

Today I want to share with you some Wedding Scriptures. I believe that God should be #1 in all relationships, especially Marriage. I hope you enjoy!

Love Bite #6: Wedding Scriptures!

Ephesians 5:22-33 KJV
(Paul compares Christ's love for the church with the love a groom should have for his bride.)

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

 Colossians 3:12-17 KJV
(Paul wraps up how a husband and wife should treat each other. This is a passage about love and forgiveness, which is very  important in a marriage.)

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Jon & Rachel- Committment Theory Audio Book
Jon Proposed on 1/28/11

My fiance and I love listening to audio books before bedtime, so my proposal idea was to make up a book about commitment, record 3-4 minutes of it, and insert my proposal into it. And then at the end ask her to marry me. I came up with a book title: "Commitment Theory - What To Do Before You Say I Do". I wrote an intro, summary and a first "case study" of a guy (who was my voice) explaining how he went through each of the 5 steps of commitment to find happiness. Read More

Love Bite #1:Enagement Rings!

Being that I love, LOVE. I decided what better way to showcase it by doing 28 Love Bite Facts on: love, relationships, & wedding planning!

Love Bite #1: Engagement Rings!

Engagement rings are often worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because the ancient Greeks maintained that that finger contains the vena amoris, or the “vein of love,” that runs straight to the heart. The first recorded wedding rings appear in ancient Egypt, with the circle representing eternity as well as powerful sun and moon deities.
