 Planning a Wedding or Event is so much fun! There are so many fun details. You have food, music, attire, stationery, transportation, decor, guests and so, so, so much more. However, thinking about all the many fun details can give anyone a big stressed out headache.

When planing a beautiful beyond dreams Wedding or Event you want to be sure you follow these 5 stress-free planning tips. These tips are simple to remember and will save you a lifetime of headaches throughout the process!! 

(Don't look like this on Wedding or Event Day! lol)

5 Stress-Free Tips for Planning a Wedding or Event!

#1: Remember Why!
#2: Make it Personal!
#3: Honesty is Healthy!
#4: Don't Invite the Country!
#5: Let It Go and Enjoy!

#1 Remember Why: Remember why you chose to have the Wedding or Event in the first place. Don't get so caught up in the "fancy" of planning that you forget why you are truly celebrating. This always brings you back down and allows you to enjoy and create fun planning memories.

#2 Make It Personal: Making it personal means adding YOU into your Wedding or Event. Allow guests to see your personality shine through. This is one definite way to make your special occasion unique and original. Whether it is customized stickers, drink or a special video, etc. Insert a part of you into your Wedding or Event that your guests can connect with!! **Customization does not always mean expensive, shop around!**

#3 Honesty Is Healthy: Be honest with yourself. If you cannot afford it, if you don't like him/her, if you know in your heart it is not right....DO NOT buy it, include him/her..don't do it! This is simple..happiness comes with honesty. Be honest about your budget and feelings when planning. Don't hold back, but don't be rude and obnoxious either. Just be honest with yourself and others and I guarantee you will feel calm throughout the process.

#4 Don't Invite the Country: Only invite who you actually want to invite. The more people you invite = the more money you will spend. Weddings are more money because that's their nature. However, the same goes for a great event. It costs money and it costs to have 100, 200, 300+ guests. Invite people you love. Take into consideration others feelings when inviting people. Take everything into consideration, don't invite the country and treat others how you want to be treated!

#5 Let It Go and Enjoy: Just let it go and truly enjoy the process! Hire a Wedding Planner or Event Planner if you know you don't handle organization well and really allow yourself to enjoy. On Wedding Day..just simply let it go. The day goes by too fast to breakdown about what wasn't. Same for Event Day..allow yourself to be the guest of honor and not the host/hostess! Dance, Eat, Laugh, Cry (tears of joy), jump in all the pics you can and just have a good time!!!

{{ Wedding Dress Shopping: 4 Ways to Have Fun!!! }}

Throughout my years of planning Weddings and working with other Planners, I've had the pleasure of going dress shopping with a few Brides. I find wedding dress shopping to be one of the most exciting and fun parts of planning the Wedding. Enjoy these 4 ways to have a fun wedding dress shopping experience!!

 {{ Wedding Dress Shopping: 4 Ways to Have Fun!!! }}

#1: Only take people with you that will give you positive critiques! (When shopping we like others opinions, at the same time we only like opinions that are given in a positive matter. When wedding dress shopping this way of thinking is increased by 100!! Take people that will lift you up and NOT tear you down. Those who on a daily basis that you have a conversation with that always talks negatively or brings others down is the exact person you need to leave at home. Tip #1 is crucial because it will reflect on your outlook and effect your mood. A critique is as simple as (#1: That shape does not flatter you.) which is different from (#2: That shape makes you look fat.). Critique #1 is a honest opinion that will help you and make you think, however, critique #2 is harmful towards your feelings and will probably make you cry. Take only positive people with you that will inspire you and make you laugh, smile and ultimately have fun!!! )

#2: Have an idea (and possibly a book of pictures) of what you want AND be open minded! (There are many, many styles out there and before you make an appointment, know or have an idea of the style, shape, etc of the dress. Do you love sparkle {maybe a Ballgown?}, are you modest {pick an A-line style), if you love fitted dresses {a Mermaid silhouette may fit you best!}. Knowing the different kinds of dresses or at least being able to show pictures of what you may desire..will allow your consultant at the dress shop to be able to narrow down what you want a lot easier and make the process a lot more enjoyable and memorable!!)

#3: Be prepared to NOT find the perfect dress at your 1st or 2nd wedding dress shopping appointment AND be prepared if YOU DO fall in love with the first dress you try on! (This is all about your thought process and knowing that wedding dress shopping is about knowing who you are and listening to your heart. Be open minded and enjoy the process. Listen to the advice of others that you brought with you and listen to your heart. Any woman that has went shopping, knows how it feels when you try on those jeans and they fit in all the right places...take "that feeling" with you! Don't force this feeling, but just enjoy, have fun and allow the experience to move you!)

#4: Grab a bite to eat and discuss! (Food makes any experience exciting! Enjoying great food and being able to sit down and discuss the wedding dress shopping is a nice way to ease whatever emotions you may be experiencing before going home. If you found "the one" and took pictures, enjoy looking at them again and discuss accessories and just enjoy the moment!! If you did not find "the one", take this time to gather your emotions, discuss the different styles you tried on and together as a group share. Talk about life, friendship and any other topic that makes you happy and laugh!! :-D)

:: The "Maid Of Honor": A Bride's Peace Of Mind! ::

Who is the one person that makes you laugh no matter what is going on? Can you cry together, argue and make up in the same day, gossip, keep no secrets, etc? That one person that knows your personality and what you are thinking just by your body language and the expression on your face? Who is the one person that would have your back no matter what? Who comes to mind when you are bugging (tripping, acting a straight fool, being overly emotional) that is not afraid to set you straight and bring you back down the earth? Do you have a clear visual of this individual? Hold this person in your mind and don't let him or her go! 


Congratulations!! You are engaged and are ready to begin planning your wedding. You know your Wedding Budget, Set your Wedding Date and you are ready to begin selecting those in your Bridal Party!!! This process is one that requires deep thought. Now is the time to reflect back to that one individual because you are picking your Maid Of Honor!! 

Maid of Honor: An individual selected to stand slightly to the left of the Bride on Wedding Day and support her thoroughly throughout the entire Wedding Planning Process. Maid Of Honor Duties involve dealing with multiple personalities (from the bride & other bridal party members), being a shoulder to lean on, giving advice, paying on time, throwing the bridal shower and planning an amazingly fun & unforgettable bachelorette party, becoming an amazing DIY guru (for my DIY Bride's) and so, so, so much more!!!

This title, is not just 3 words placed next to each other...but it is a huge responsibility that is often taken lightly. Bride's be sure that when selecting your M.O.H, select that one person that will meet the requirements. Don't pick just anyone, because often times when not choosing wisely a lot of feelings are crushed and it is not pretty. Potential Maid Of Honor's if you are asked and feel that you are not able to fulfill the necessary requirements be honest and let the Bride know. 

Brides, I wish you much success in choosing the right Maid Of Honor. Take your time, select a person that fits the mold and select who you love and trust with your life. Don't get caught up in a "I have to pick you" situation because if that person doesn't know you well, you just may clash and end up feeling all alone during this process. 

*Last Tip: A Maid Of Honor does not replace your Wedding Planner, you should have both!*

UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration!

Happy Monday!!


Today's inspiration is all about color! Color has a way of making you feel a certain emotion and effects how you interactive with others. Look around your house..what are the colors on your wall, in your decor? Look in your closet..what are the three main colors you see? Are you attracted to lighter colors or darker colors?

Check it out and if you like what you read and find it to be true then keep motivating towards your goals...however, if after reading the results and you find it to be true but are unhappy with the outcome; make some changes!
