UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration: Celebration Food!

It's Monday and I don't know about you, but I love to be inspired! I get inspired by life! A smell, sound, just seeing something beautiful, can spark a bit of inspiration up in me. One thing that can always inspire me is, FOOD!!! Yes, I love food! Besides being a very picky eater and allergic to the entire nut family, milk and chocolate...I LOVE TO EAT! So today's inspirational post is about food!! And not just any food, but food that guests dream about when attending a wedding or event!

Celebration Food!
Celebration Food is what I like to describe as "fun and tasty" food that you eat at weddings & events.

As a guest, you have two expectations:

-Expectation #1: You are expecting it to not taste like your basic "wedding" or basic "party" foods. (Guests want to walk into a room and see decorated tables. A nice spread of something delicious. They don't want to eat basic turkey and gravy. Guests come seeking Filet Mignon topped with mashed potatoes that look like a flower and dressed with baby carrots & asparagus in some amazing sauce! Or at least something equally fancy and yummy.)

-Expectation #2: You are expecting to leave full! (When attending a wedding or event, guests expect to eat! The "Celebration Food" is the highlight of the morning, afternoon or evening. Be prepared to feed your guests because they came hungry. Don't scare your guests, with food that looks so foreign you end up wasting your money because everyone just picks over their food. Give your guests familiar options, so they can actually enjoy the food!! Food makes guests happy, and happy guests dance, take pictures and rave about your wedding or event!)

When deciding what food to serve to your guests, think about their common likes and dislikes. Consider any allergies and diet restrictions. Guests are coming to celebrate you, as you are the guest of honor. However, you as the guests of honor should treat your guests like royalty AND royalty eats well!! So get inspired by the guests you invited and make sure the "Celebration Food" is fun and tasty!!

Be Inspired!

UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration: "5 Ways to Believe in YOU!"

Have you ever been so excited about your dreams that you over thought and felt completely lost in thought? Well, it has happened to me before and it is not a place you should stay in for a long time. To get out of a stagnant place..you must first believe in yourself and the talent that you have!!

5 Ways to Believe in YOU!
1.Speak Life - Say positive affirmations!
2. Do - Make moves and take the first step, whether that be educating yourself, training, etc...make the moves needed to succeed!!!
3. Engage - Surround yourself with positive people that can uplift you!
4. Be Inspired - Learn you, so you can know what you like and love to do!
5. Live - Simply live out your dream. Live for you and not for people!!

I saw The Wiz at my hs on Saturday and it brought back so many memories from when I did it as a freshman in hs ( I was a dancer in the musical)..so I want to leave you with this song!

UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration!

In honor of the many soldiers (men and woman) that have fought for our freedom...

I say Thank You!
Thank you for the sacrifice.

"Psalms 23: The Lord Is My Shepherd"
1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters. 3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Today and every day we remember the fallen and marching soldiers.
Thank you to you and your families for your dedication to our country!

Remember...
Be inspired for change...
Make a difference in someone else life!

5 Stress-Free Tips for Planning a Wedding or Event!!!

Planning a Wedding or Event is so much fun! There are so many fun details. You have food, music, attire, stationery, transportation, decor, guests and so, so, so much more. However, thinking about all the many fun details can give anyone a big stressed out headache.

When planing a beautiful beyond dreams Wedding or Event you want to be sure you follow these 5 stress-free planning tips. These tips are simple to remember and will save you a lifetime of headaches throughout the process!!

(Don't look like this on Wedding or Event Day! lol)

5 Stress-Free Tips for Planning a Wedding or Event!

#1: Remember Why!
#2: Make it Personal!
#3: Honesty is Healthy!
#4: Don't Invite the Country!
#5: Let It Go and Enjoy!

#1 Remember Why: Remember why you chose to have the Wedding or Event in the first place. Don't get so caught up in the "fancy" of planning that you forget why you are truly celebrating. This always brings you back down and allows you to enjoy and create fun planning memories.

#2 Make It Personal: Making it personal means adding YOU into your Wedding or Event. Allow guests to see your personality shine through. This is one definite way to make your special occasion unique and original. Whether it is customized stickers, drink or a special video, etc. Insert a part of you into your Wedding or Event that your guests can connect with!! **Customization does not always mean expensive, shop around!**

#3 Honesty Is Healthy: Be honest with yourself. If you cannot afford it, if you don't like him/her, if you know in your heart it is not right....DO NOT buy it, include him/her..don't do it! This is simple..happiness comes with honesty. Be honest about your budget and feelings when planning. Don't hold back, but don't be rude and obnoxious either. Just be honest with yourself and others and I guarantee you will feel calm throughout the process.

#4 Don't Invite the Country: Only invite who you actually want to invite. The more people you invite = the more money you will spend. Weddings are more money because that's their nature. However, the same goes for a great event. It costs money and it costs to have 100, 200, 300+ guests. Invite people you love. Take into consideration others feelings when inviting people. Take everything into consideration, don't invite the country and treat others how you want to be treated!

#5 Let It Go and Enjoy: Just let it go and truly enjoy the process! Hire a Wedding Planner or Event Planner if you know you don't handle organization well and really allow yourself to enjoy. On Wedding Day..just simply let it go. The day goes by too fast to breakdown about what wasn't. Same for Event Day..allow yourself to be the guest of honor and not the host/hostess! Dance, Eat, Laugh, Cry (tears of joy), jump in all the pics you can and just have a good time!!!

--- BONUS TIP ---

**LAUGH**
Laughter is the best way to turn any stressful situation into a good memory!
