Don't sit on your inspiration, act on it!

UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration: Never Give Up!

It's Monday, that start of the work week for many!! Today's inspiration is just for YOU! Today and from this day forward I want YOU to never give up on your dreams and passion for life!

(Hit play to listen while you read.)

I have always had the dream since I was little to be a mommy. When I was in kindergarten I said for career day, "When I grow up, I want to be a mommy!" It's interesting because at age 24 I have no kids, but since I was 7 I have been around kids. I grew up with a daycare in my home. I was always attracted to daycare/nanny jobs. And as much as kids "annoy me" so to speak, I always enjoy their presesence. I say all that to say that, I look forward to marriage and kids. I don't want an army or band of kids, but to have a family has always been a dream of mine!

When I was in college, and even before that, I gained an interest in weddings & events because I was attracted to the decor & details. But when I learned the industry through my internship, it opened my eyes to so much more and became a passion of mine. I loved the actual planning aspect, I loved the coordination and mechanics of making an air tight timeline so the day can flow beautifully. I loved the connection I made with the couples. I loved {ME} in the Wedding & Event Planning industry.

I came into my internship with the mindset that, I wanted to learn! I wanted to learn everything so that I can start my own business. I was given an opportunity of a lifetime. I am so grateful to have been given this passion of planning weddings & events and actually being able to live it out!

I chose this Rocky song...but it just inspires me to never give up. The story behind it shows perseverance because he overcame so much! Although things will come up in life, like they have in mine, that will completely knock you off your game. Like it did to me (from March to May, things were off in my life and my business felt it.) Even with that, my passion was restored through the Lord and I am on a mission like no other. Just because things happen in life and may knock you off your game, it doesn't mean it's over. YOU are never to old to fulfill your dreams and passions in life.

I don't care what happens in your life, YOU have to keep pushing. Keep running up the stairs of success until you reach your destiny. Never give up on your dreams and passions in life! This is your race that YOU are running. YOU pick the path and how slow or fast you want it to go. Do it according to your plan, not those around you.

God's timing is perfect timing and he will place things and people in your life that will make those dreams come to life right before your eyes. But YOU have to live out the dream. YOU have to work hard for the dream. It's your dream, no one wants your dream to come true as much as YOU do! So when it's time to live it out...grab on with both hands and enjoy the ride!!! Never Give Up...

Be Inspired!

Talk To Me:
What is your dream and/or passion in life? What excites you so much that you can't imagine life without you doing that? Are you living out your dreams and passions? {On The Blog Today} UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration!

A new week has begun and it's time to be inspired!! When you think about inspiration, what comes to mind? Stop and take a second to think....hmmm....the first thing that usually comes to my mind is color! I talked about the meaning of colors in another UrDreamPlanner Monday Inspiration post which you can "read about here".

Colors is all around us! What's great about color despite what it represents it does not control how we feel and react in life. Seeing a certain color, tends to make you think a certain way which leads to how your day will go. So today and all this week I challenge you to be inspired by color differently.

I will take myself as an example. When I see red or pink, I almost automatically think about love! This week when I see those colors I am going to challenge myself to think differently. What else does that color represent to me and how can I be inspired differently throughout the week? Those will be the questions I ask myself.

: : : THE CHALLENGE : : :

As you go through the week, be inspired differently about the colors you see. Write down what first comes to mind when you are inspired by a color and then write down how you were able to see that same color in a different light! I will be mentioning this challenge all week on Beautiful Beyond Dreams, LLC FB Pg, so feel free to check in there to stay reminded to participate.

I will share with you next Monday why you are doing this challenge! And, I am doing it too!! So together, let's be inspired about how we relate to color!!

Be Inspired!

UrDreamPlanner's Monday Inspiration!

Happy Monday!!

Today's inspiration is all about color! Color has a way of making you feel a certain emotion and effects how you interactive with others. Look around your house..what are the colors on your wall, in your decor? Look in your closet..what are the three main colors you see? Are you attracted to lighter colors or darker colors?

Click the link to take the color test. I took it and it is very interesting and I found the results to be scary accurate. Seriously!

Check it out and if you like what you read and find it to be true then keep motivating towards your goals...however, if after reading the results and you find it to be true but are unhappy with the outcome; make some changes!

Inspiration Comes to Life: Wedding Planning!

Getting married is a great part of life! It includes two people who are truly in love bringing two families together to share in their special occasion. Inspiration comes in all forms. It can transpire from just seeing a color, shape, design etc or it can evolve based off an initial vision.

On October 3, 2010 a year ago today Beautiful Beyond Dreams, LLC had the luxury of planning a fall wedding! Inspiration was flowing throughout the whole process. As I was going through pictures I found the Inspiration cake photo and wanted to give you a before and after of the cake this couple used for their wedding.

Jennifer & Mike wanted a fall wedding and loved the clean white look of a cake but wanted the deep fall colors to be displayed in their cake. We viewed many pictures of different styles and shapes of cakes.

This is what they fell in love with...

The cake Mike & Jennifer selected was done by DiBartolo Bakery in Collingswood, NJ located on Haddon Ave. The flowers were purchased from Michael's Craft Store. It was smaller since their wedding was being shared with 75 of their closest friends & family members. The cake brought a nice finish to all the detail that went into the reception decor!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Mr & Mrs Michael & Jennifer Robinson! So happy to have been able to share in your special day..wishing you many many more years of love and happiness! :-D

What has inspired you during the planning process?? How did you incorporate it into your wedding day?? Do Share!! :-)

{Wednesday's Inspiration}::Tradition- "Jumping The Broom"

It's Wednesday so all posts will be in honor of Wedding Wednesday (#WeddingWednesday) (#WW)! I am one that loves to be inspired so the UrDreamPlanner blog will display Wednesday inspiration involving the wedding industry.

{Wednesday's Inspiration}::Tradition-"Jumping The Broom"

 The tradition of "Broom Jumping" dates all the way back to the 18th Century when slaves were not allowed to marry. The couples would place sticks down to jump over symbolizing their marriage. This tradition is seen mainly in the African-American culture. Meaning of "Broom Jumping"- Sweeping away the old and welcoming the new, or a symbol of new beginnings. This was also a symbolism that the woman would be care taker of the home, whoever jumped the highest over the broom (usually the man) would be the head of the household. These ceremonies usually were accompanied by drums and singing.

In today's culture the tradition still lives on. The "broom" used in the ceremony is either one that has been passed down from generations, ordered custom made or brought at stores that cater to this tradition and decorated by the couple. The movie "Jumping the Broom" displayed this tradition in a great light. If you haven't seen it, head to the movies now and watch it. It is a meaningful movie that shows family and tradition and how it goes hand in hand.

All kinds of traditions are incorporated into ceremonies and receptions.

Are you "Broom Jumping"? What traditions are you/ did you incorporate in your wedding? Do share!! :-)
