::: HEART :::

Here is a touching poem about Heart Disease. I hope it inspires you to check yourself and motivate the women in your family to get checked as well.

A Woman’s Heart

by Nancy Perez

Her heart is like a pocket

Stitched deep within her chest

Inside she stores her treasures

Some are broken, many blessed.

In her heart she has carried

Much joy and much sorrow

With sadness and gladness

She awaits each new tomorrow

In that heart, there were burdens

That seemed would never cease

Until one day, it grew sadder

It developed Heart Disease

Now the woman who possesses it

Has one new heart’s desire

To share with you the “Heart Truth”

To enlighten and inspire

“Be your own Advocate”

You’ll hear her confession,

“Don’t let anyone tell you,

It’s just indigestion.”

“You’re young, you’re a woman,

What else could it be?”

That’s what she was told

And now - just look and see

She has a tiny treasure,

Placed there- close to her heart

It’s a stent and it has given

Her life a fresh new start.

She’s a woman; she’s a mother,

Sister, daughter and a wife

She’s also a Best Friend to

All the women in her life.

My best friend, Lois Trader has written down her story to share with you the “Heart Truth”. To God be all the Glory!

4 Ways to Keep the LOVE Alive!

Happy #WeddingWednesday to you all!! Today's post is all about keeping the love alive while planning your wedding! Planning a wedding is a tedious process that can take a toll on any engaged couple. As you plan you want to assure that you are not at each others throat about florals, cake, colors, guest list etc. Instead you want to make sure you keep the love alive by spending quality time together outside of wedding planning!

4 Way to Keep the LOVE Alive!
1. Assign 1 day every week to go out..whether you go to breakfast, lunch or dinner...enjoy a meal together! Take an hour or two and discuss life not wedding plans.

2. Dress sexy..ladies keep your hair, nails & toes done..and fellas keep your hair cut and cologne on..Remember that the person you're about to marry is a person that you are also attracted to..so keep the spark alive!

3. Go on a fun date! Mini Golf, Couple Spa, Weekend getaway to Disney...something that will make you laugh and grow as a couple and take your mind off all the wedding day planning.

4. Say I LOVE YOU! Often times you get so caught up in life that you're not saying or showing how much you love that person. So leave a little note, send a text, make a quick call, etc. Tell your fiance you love them. I guarantee it will put a smile on their face! :-D

These 4 suggestions are things that are simple, yet make such a bug difference in a relationship. These above 4 tips although simple are things that we forget to do. In a relationship when so much is happening like planning a wedding..it is the simple and sweet moments that will help to keep the love alive and the planning a lot more easy going and fun!!

February is all about LOVE, thanks to cupid! Valentine's Day is a day spent with someone you love. This day can be spent with your spouse, significant other, your best friend, etc. It is a day where you get yummy chocolates/cupcakes,etc and beautiful red roses and go out on a romantic date! Wherever the location, whoever the person, whatever the reason...make sure that you spend time enjoying the moment! Be someone's happy Valentine!!

::: HISTORY :::

3 Tips for a Successful Consultation!

Wedding Planning means attending many consultations so you can find the perfect vendors for your Wedding Day to truly represent who you are as a couple. Consultations can be scary, fun & should always be informative. So to help you along the way here are 3 tips for a successful consultation!

3 Tips for a Successful Consultation!

  1. Research the company's you are interested in prior to setting up a consultation!
  2. Know the consultation time allotted so you don't go over and get charged or cut off!
  3. Have set questions ready so you don't forget nothing important! (This also allows you to know if the vendor you are interviewing is knowledgeable!)
Remember to be yourself and smile. Don't rush into anything because this is your Wedding Day and should be handled with time & care!

Happy #WeddingWednesday! :-D
