::: HEART :::

Here is a touching poem about Heart Disease. I hope it inspires you to check yourself and motivate the women in your family to get checked as well.

A Woman’s Heart

by Nancy Perez

Her heart is like a pocket

Stitched deep within her chest

Inside she stores her treasures

Some are broken, many blessed.

In her heart she has carried

Much joy and much sorrow

With sadness and gladness

She awaits each new tomorrow

In that heart, there were burdens

That seemed would never cease

Until one day, it grew sadder

It developed Heart Disease

Now the woman who possesses it

Has one new heart’s desire

To share with you the “Heart Truth”

To enlighten and inspire

“Be your own Advocate”

You’ll hear her confession,

“Don’t let anyone tell you,

It’s just indigestion.”

“You’re young, you’re a woman,

What else could it be?”

That’s what she was told

And now - just look and see

She has a tiny treasure,

Placed there- close to her heart

It’s a stent and it has given

Her life a fresh new start.

She’s a woman; she’s a mother,

Sister, daughter and a wife

She’s also a Best Friend to

All the women in her life.

My best friend, Lois Trader has written down her story to share with you the “Heart Truth”. To God be all the Glory!

Love Bite #2: Proposals

So today I want to share a few proposal stats and a proposal story that I thought was oh so original!!

Love Bite #2: Proposals!

I had to use this pic..I actually have one from Taco Bell! lol
  • 60% of men ask their future father-in-law permission for his daughter’s hand in marriage before popping the big question. (I like the tradition factor of this fact, I'm 20% traditional..lol)

  • 33% of dating couples said they thought it would be OK to have their proposal broadcasted to the world.

  • 49% of men prefer to plan and execute the proposals themselves.

  • 38% of men would consult their friends and family for advice on the perfect proposal.

  • 83% of men & women agree that dropping to one knee is the best approach when popping the actual question.

    Stats found on: http://www.engagementringquestions.com/engagement-ring-survey/#more-32

I love originality, so check out this cute, unique & original proposal!!

Jon & Rachel- Committment Theory Audio Book
Jon Proposed on 1/28/11

My fiance and I love listening to audio books before bedtime, so my proposal idea was to make up a book about commitment, record 3-4 minutes of it, and insert my proposal into it. And then at the end ask her to marry me. I came up with a book title: "Commitment Theory - What To Do Before You Say I Do". I wrote an intro, summary and a first "case study" of a guy (who was my voice) explaining how he went through each of the 5 steps of commitment to find happiness. Read More

HE said Yes!

There's a new trend beginning to pop up and it involves Popping the Question! I've heard about women asking their significant others to marry them and honestly I've thought about doing it myself (Just Thoughts, lol) and while many women seem to think it's a great idea, I don't know if I agree?

Marriage is about a union between a guy and a girl and proposing in the traditional days were left to the guy to take care of. The guys role in introducing the idea of marriage is to first ask the girls parents permission and then romantically ask his one true love to marry him. The element of surprise is what makes the proposal so memorable. Besides are woman really going to start buying their own wedding rings and after he says yes ask him to put it on her finger. He should have the enjoyment of finding the ring that he feels is most complimentary of his love, Right? Right!

It is very clear that when it comes to marriage and planning the wedding tradition is not the number one factor. However, I feel that the surprise of the proposal should be one tradition to be kept the same. WeTV has a new show called "Jilted?" and it's all about the woman giving him the ultimatum: Marry me...or lose me forever! It comes on Sundays at 10/9c

Honestly, I still have mixed feelings towards the show none the less i am still going to watch it and so should you. I do understand that deep desire to become married to the one you love, yet as much as a dream about the way he will propose {I want HIM to propose, not me!} I mean a girl does dream and I have even thought about proposing to him using the Taco Bell Sauce Packets, since they have one that says, Will You Marry Me? lol.  But it is only a thought, besides I think he will be sad if I took that job away from him. Like I said a girl can dream..lol. And I will dream on until he pops the question!

I want to know what you think:
Would you propose to your man if you felt he was taking to long? Ladies I want to know how you feel about this! Guys your welcome to comment too.

Sincerely,
